︎“TI GUARDERO’ BRUCIARE”, è il progetto di ricerca sostenuto dall’Italian Council (2021), Direzione Generale Creatività Contemporanea, Ministero della Cultura.
︎“TI GUARDERO’ BRUCIARE”,È un progetto che vede l’artista Federica Di Carlo seguire per un intero anno tutte le tappe dell’esperimento LGS-OR , ovvero la costruzione di una stella artificiale in cielo, detta “stella guida”, che verrà ufficialmente installata e sperimentata presso L’Osservatorio Astronomico Roque de los Muchachos sull’isola de La Palma (Canarie).Il team di scienziati internazionali che sta sviluppando e potenziando questa tecnologia, appartiene ai centri di ricerca INAF, IAC ed ESO.
︎“TI GUARDERO’ BRUCIARE”, ha l'ambizione di diventare, a seguito del periodo di studio di 18 mesi insieme agli scienziati, una video installazione ambientale che ne racconti le scoperte e le riflessioni tratte dalla collaborazione tra Arte & Scienza.
︎“TI GUARDERO’ BRUCIARE”, si ispira all'azione quotidiana che facciamo inconsapevolmente da quando siamo nati, ovvero, guardare il Sole e tutte le Stelle bruciare sopra i nostri cieli diurni e notturni.
︎Questa azione apparentemente naturale, sotto intende però una serie di interrogativi sul rapporto uomo-natura, uomo-tecnologia-natura, molto importanti:
Cosa accade quando l'essere umano modifica, clona, riproduce gli equilibri pre-costituiti dalla Natura o la Natura stessa?

L'Osservatorio Europeo Australe (ESO) è l'organizzazione inter-governativa di scienza e tecnologia preminente in ambito astronomico. Attua un ambizioso programma che si concentra sulla progettazione, costruzione e gestione di potenti strutture osservative da terra che favoriscano importanti scoperte scientifiche nel campo dell'astronomia. L'ESO ha anche un ruolo di punta nel promuovere e organizzare cooperazione nella ricerca astronomica.
L' ESO gestisce tre siti osservativi di prim'ordine nella regione del deserto di Atacama in Cile: La Silla, Paranal e Chajnantor.

CAAM Museum (Centro Atlántico de Arte Moderno - Las Palmas de Gran Canaria)
nasce nel 1989 con l'obiettivo di rivitalizzare le arti visive e il pensiero critico delle isole Canarie, in un quadro di geo-strategia atlantica con un forte impegno interculturale. La sua Collezione vanta opere significative dell'arte spagnola del XX secolo. La sua attività da anni è dedicata a progetti di arte contemporanea interdisciplinari e interattivi, in grado di favorire l'azione culturale sul territorio.

︎”I WILL WATCH YOU BURN”, is the research project supported by the Italian Council (2021), Directorate-General for Contemporary Creativity, Italian Ministry of Culture.
︎”I WILL WATCH YOU BURN”,It is a project where the artist Federica Di Carlo will follow all the stages of the LGS-OR experiment for a whole year, i.e. the construction of an artificial star in the sky, known as a "guide star", which will be officially installed and tested at the Roque de los Muchachos Astronomical Observatory on the island of La Palma (Canary Islands).The team of international scientists developing and enhancing this technology belongs to the INAF, IAC and ESO research centres.
︎”I WILL WATCH YOU BURN”,has the ambition to become, following the 18-month study period with the scientists, an environmental video installation that will recount the discoveries and reflections drawn from the collaboration between Art & Science.
︎The title ”I WILL WATCH YOU BURN”, is inspired by the daily action we have unconsciously performed since we were born, namely watching the Sun and all the Stars burn above our day and night skies.
︎This seemingly natural action, however, raises a number of very important questions about the relationship between man and nature, man-technology-nature: What happens when human beings modify, clone, reproduce the balances pre-established by Nature or Nature itself?
